When I was growing up I watched Mickey’s Christmas Carol every year without fail. I remember it being terrifying, especially the Pete character.

Yes! This is the last great Disney cartoon. The Jacob Marley Goofy fueled so many childhood nightmares. It was the scariest possible thing! A GHOST of an-oh-so familiar character. There is nothing more frightening than that. I think if I watched this today, I would go into sobs and seizures and fits. I couldn’t handle it. I always really loved the opening credits; they always seemed so thick and rich. Everything was made out of gold.
